Up and Down the Spine

* The cost is £150 for a single class but book more than four via a set and only pay £120 each.

This is the last course in Craniosacral System Essentials, or you can include it in the 10 or 15 course set..

Having covered other aspects of the craniosacral system in the previous 4 online classes we will now examine the spine and its features to complete our in depth knowledge of this system.

You might already know about the basic features of the vertebrae but to ensure you know the intricate details of the joints, ligaments, rib attachments, construction of the sacrum and importance of the coccyx, not to mention the blood supply and drainage, do come and join us for these two days.

Then we will have fun thinking about the back from the front - what attaches anteriorally the length of the spine? You will give your hands lots of options to work with because who doesn't have clients with some kind of back issues?!

You will also get:

  • Workbook

A workbook to print out before the online class and use during it as well as afterwards for review.

  • Handouts

Print the slides we will refer to and annotate during the teaching time or access them afterwards to remind you what we learned.

  • Recording

You will get the zoom link to join the online class plus access to the recording of your class which students find excellent for review.

What we will cover:

  • The intricate details of the vertebrae

What are the common components of these bones? How do they differ in each section of the spine? What are the more unusual features? (think uncinate processes and zygapophysial surfaces perhaps?!)

  • Where would a stack of vertebrae be without some strong support structures?

Gain a deep appreciation for the ligaments and the muscles that give it the strength to be so flexible! Plus, we will show you the uniqueness of the blood supply and drainage that keeps it moving.

  • The spinal cord itself

What is it helpful to know about the cord itself? We will touch on its internal structure and look at the way the neurons enter and exit the spinal cord as well as the vertebral canal...

  • This class will help you consolidate your understanding

And, as ever, in interactive and engaging ways, even online, help make it relevant to your hands on practice.
