What do many of us want?

To easily understand our anatomy so we can get on with treating, right?

This day will help. A lot.

You will begin to see how all the different things that you have learned about are all connected. How things sit in relation to each other. What all those sometimes complicated names are actually referring to. Which makes them so much easier to remember...

(And to be honest, if you don't remember the names later, you will have such a beautiful sense from your image memory that a client's body can speak to you though this too in all your future sessions.)

We will spend our time exploring pre-dissected specimens, that have been exposed to different extents, to enable us to see so many different of the craniosacral systems' structures. You've heard us talk about them, seen pictures of them, even felt them when treating your clients, now you will be able to see them for real.

We'll dive into the important anatomical  features of the areas we learn to treat in the 10 Step Protocol in CST1, and the facial bones and other structures included in CST2. Tailored in this way for any CranioSacral Therapist it hugely informs your hands and helps you really understand what you are working with in these techniques.

Imagine peaking under the diaphragm, into the back of the nasal cavity, and finally fitting all the bones of the skull and vertebral column together... with the membranes too - really getting how they fit around the brain and spinal cord. We'll see all this and so much more!

There are also many beautifully prepared 'pots' - dissections showing specific structures - that have been shared by many lecturers and students over the years and we are honoured to be able to show you too.

Let the anatomy blend and meld...

...between your head and your hands!

You will have the chance to ask questions, explore the structures for yourself and guide the day to suit yourselves as a group. It really is the most amazing opportunity and we are extremely privileged to have this access.

This course is presented by Caroline Barrow at the London Bridge, Guy’s campus of King’s College University. It is not affiliated to the university in any way.

Note that places are limited to 16, and do tend to fill up fast, so book soon if you know you want to come!

What past students really have said...

I loved this comment from a student... it shows the depth of impact a course like this can have.

'This day has changed how I will look at Life from now on.... '

Thank you for such a brilliant day in the DR today. I loved every minute of it...

...and was gratified to feel a bit more confident and less tongue-tied about identifying structures/organs and being willing to risk getting it wrong. You are so kind and skilful in your manner and the way you accommodate everyone’s needs/level of understanding and quality of insight. Lovely, lovely, lovely. I feel very privileged to have you as my teacher.

Thank you very much for the enlightening day last week.

It was very useful indeed to see the real thing rather than just the pictures we used for our studies - so many ahaa moments!

A few things in particular caught me totally by surprise: the much smaller than anticipated size of spleen and the huge diameter of aorta, never mind the fascinating structure of the greater omentum...

I’m utterly, utterly inspired and more curious than ever.

I was very hesitant in the beginning, but when the diaphragm came out I just couldn’t resist it..! I’ve been longing to see the muscles in 3D, I’ve found it difficult to see how they look in the body. Everything was smaller than I thought, no matter how big or small the person was. Which means everything is stronger than I could’ve imagined! I’d love to come again in a year or so, knowing it’s not scary. And with more knowledge comes more curiosity!

About

Hi, I'm Caroline.

I created the College of Body Science for people just like you...

I started out 25 years ago to help complementary therapists get a better grasp of the anatomy and physiology that they often find tricky to learn. I especially love taking students into the dissection room and showing them so many things that they have previously only seen in books - the spontaneous oohs and aahs make us all smile!

Have I been successful? Well people really have said lovely things like: "Her enthusiasm for the subject is infectious and her passion is compelling..."

Nice, eh? But it is genuinely impossible not to be awed by any day in this place and the word “awesome” features more than just about any other in our student feedback.

Lots of folk have truly found these days helpful, illuminating and surprisingly fun. I hope you will too!

FAQs

These are the questions we are often asked - if we haven't covered your query please get in touch.

  • How many places are there on this course?

We limit it to 16 as any more and it gets harder to see all the things we are pointing out!

  • Will we actually be dissecting?

No. There are not enough available bodies for this. Also, it takes a long time, is actually quite challenging, really smelly and we would not be able to cover as much. However, we will see a variety of different specimens dissected to different degrees so you will definitely get the sense of what is where from all angles.

  • If I book and I can't make it what will happen?

As the numbers are so important for these classes, we will not be able to offer refunds once places are booked. If we are able to re-sell your space then we will happily transfer your booking to the next class.

Please see our terms and conditions page (link at bottom of this page) for more info.

  • Do I need to study before I come?

Not really, although if you fancy it who would I be to stop you! The reason we offer the presentation piece first is that we have seen in past years just how helpful it is to remind people in advance of all the structures and what they do, so they are ready to absorb as much information as they can in the afternoon session. Our focus is always on helping anyone with learning their next step so we will meet you where you are at!

  • Where will the course be held?

We are privileged and honoured to be able to make use of the extraordinary facilities at Kings College London; the course is at Guys Campus, near London Bridge.

  • Can I pay by BACS instead of via this website?

Yes you can. Just email us ASAP to make sure we reserve a place for you and we will send the account info to transfer into. We will hold that place for 48 hours while awaiting payment.

  • I've done it before - is it worth coming again?

I've lost count of the number of times I've done it and I still learn something new, understand something from a different angle and remind myself of things I've learned before, every single time. But if you have visited before I don't think you would even be asking this question as you'll know exactly how amazing it is!

Up for it? We promise you will not be disappointed.
